Calligraph is a typical Designer Pinwheel quilt based on a four-fold rotation of a tessellated right triangle. Hand-painted and dyed solid color silk dupioni and charmeuse fabrics gave the original quilt a satiny quality with unusual color. The pattern is for one full-scale tessellated triangle only. Cut and piece the pattern’s patches four times to complete the quilt top. Add seam allowances to all patches.
